“Quando la Natura Diventa Arte” is a yearly exhibition curated by Guido Gulino that takes place in Bellissimi near Dolcedo, IM, in occasion of la Madonna of Misericordia festivities
On Sunday 4th September 20l6 for the occasion of the festivities in celebration to the Madonna of Misericordia the village of Bellissimi will be decorated with a multitude of coloured flags blowing in the breeze.
The festivities start in the morning at l0.00 with a holy mass and in the afternoon from 16.00 onwards there will be games such as guessing the weight of a large round form of alpine cheese, the mouth of fortune (lucky dip) and entertainments for both adults and children with street art and magician shows by Daniel Delministro and Papillon.
Regarding artistic ability, three new murals will be shown. The exhibition When nature becomes art, creations using natural elements, in its 10th edition, will take place. It will be shown in the picturesque terraced garden of the Bellissima family who gave their name to the village. Will take also place visits to a collective ehxibition and to the ancient Asilo of the village.
There will also be a welcoming spread of refreshments prepared by the inhabitants of the village accompanied with music from Giuliano Giuliani together with Paolo Castiglione eMarina and of course the launching of the well-known paper balloons constructed by Renzo Orengo who surprises and amazes everyone each year.
Yep, they did it again, Anne Sconberg and Mark Henderson – artists, art-lovers, art-supporters and the ultimate cultural producers – cooked up a storm. The magical ingredient? Creativity of course. Well, bloody hard work, a population of people such as volunteers, but not only, very long hours, and a very large pinch of passion are all part of the recipe too. The alchemy they’ve created was a hurricane that for 5 days has artified the Silicon Valley and has brought together more than 300 artists from all over the world gathering all sort of communities and creative genres lovers, from fine arts to performance and music to poetry and spoken word, to opera, fire games, food, fashion and beyond.
This visionary heroic effort seems to have delighted the community of San jose’ of which Anne and Mark are notorious dedicated members. The opening night was a spectacular tornado that indiscriminately electrified everyone: inclusive and therefore immense. There was something for everybody to enjoy and to engage with, and everybody did. A sense of inebriating freedom swept across the fairgrounds that smelled like “smooth democratic oasis with an edge” (No, you cannot find it in the stores, and no, it is not a tequila brand neither).
Now that the flooding has quiet down what will be next? Be reassured, the cyclone is just catching its breath and gathering steam for the next high alert event. In the meantime here ( above) are just few of the 300 and more works partying at at Anne and Mark’s art party 2014 at the Santa Clara County Fairground in San Jose’ CA.

BUILD THE GALLERY WALLS
Our Kickstarter Campaign is live
Dear ART LOVERS and ART SUPPORTERS,
It’s time to build some walls and hang the art.
Over the past eight years, our Irrational and Occasional Art Party has grown from our house to two houses to a warehouse near downtown. Each year, the number of artists who want to participate in this celebration of the arts in the South Bay has grown. So has the number of people who want to enjoy the art and an evening of dance, music, performance, food and drink.
June 28th 2014, we hope to take a big step and move Art Party to the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds and extend the event from 1 night to 1 week. But we need your help to transform the Fairgrounds for all the people we expect to attend.
We need to build gallery walls to hang the art, so the Art Party 2014 team has turned to Kickstarter to raise the necessary money. If we can raise $25,000, the party can go on. But, we really need to raise a lot more than that in order to build 4000 l.f. of 12′ high walls to display all the art we have plans for.
We hope you can help make Art Party 2014 a big success and a major event in the growing South Bay cultural landscape, connecting established and developing artists with those who love art.
Click on the link below and check out the video we’ve put together and the cool perks that come along with each contribution. We’d love it if you could pass the word along to your friends who might be interested.
And, whether you can contribute or not, be sure to save June 28 and come to the Art Party.
Thanks for all your help and support over the years and let’s keep the Art Party going and growing.
